As apprentices to Jesus, part of becoming like Him is engaging in a discipleship relationship. Discipleship is a Jesus focused, Gospel centered relationship with the purpose of becoming like Jesus, for the glory of God and the sake of others. In discipleship, our hope is that people have the opportunity to have someone else in their life, to see them and know them, to encourage them, to hold them accountable, and to move toward Jesus together. In other words, discipleship is a way we can be ambassadors of Christ, an incarnation of Jesus. As we journey together, we begin to be formed into the character and countenance of Jesus and we experience the abundant life that Jesus offers us—we start exhibiting the love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control that is only possible through Him. Ideally, intentional discipleship is the clearest path toward anchoring our lives in the unshakable hope of Jesus. Our discipleship begins by hearing Jesus’ voice. Just as Mary sat at His feet, we get to do the same through scripture, the Holy Spirit, others’ encouragement, and through creation. Join us this fall as we continue to explore the beauty of discipleship.

We will be hosting our annual training for all volunteers and interested volunteers! Come for food, friendship, and all the updated details you need to be a star volunteer! Please register so that we can prepare well. Lunch is provided! Childcare is not provided.
